Do Everything On Purpose
Most people who struggle to attain their desired results in life, and who complain about thing’s not going their way, have one peculiar thing in common:
They rarely think and act on purpose!
Answer honestly: Are you currently moving about your life in a purposeful manner?
Goals and aspirations are a necessary element of successful positive thinking. For how can you create tangible results with the right frame of mind if you’re not entirely clear on what you want?
I urge you from this moment forward to take care and always move in a purposeful manner. Know what you want, where you want to be, and even why you want this to some extent.
For a stronger understanding of how to live on purpose I recommend my article about finding your life purpose, posted on my main spirituality blog.
I hope you’ll find this content helpful and fulfilling.
Action Trumps Words Every Time
The majority of people are trapped by inertia in a life that doesn’t reflect their highest ideals. They might think or daydream about the circumstances they would prefer, but they do little to create change.
Some folks will take their desire got happiness to the next level, so to speak, by talking openly about what they want or even writing down plans or goals. This is forward progress but it’s as far as most people ever make it.
Only a small percentage of people ever take action on the things they claim to want. It’s both bizarre and sad, but it’s also the truth.
I understand it’s not always easy to take action. But honestly at this point in my life I’m baffled by how rare genuine action takers are.
As an entrepreneur who hasn’t punched a timeclock since 2005 my life is pretty unconventional. If I want something in a real way I take steps to manifest this objective.
Interestingly, I’ve learned that sometimes I don’t even need to think much about my objective. And I certainly don’t need detailed plans on every occassion.
Because I’m in the habit of taking action I often find myself in spontaneous motion as soon as I identify what I’d like to experience. This is the inevitable result of living an action-oriented life.
Don’t mistake this as bragging. I’m only using my own experience to drive home the point.
The positive rewards we seek are the result of moving our feet. It’s far less important to have all the steps in the process outlined than it is to just start walking in the general direction of what we want.
Action, even on a small level, will ALWAYS trump all the thinking, planning, and talking in the world. It’s better (and more fun!) to be a walker than a talker in any endeavor.

Positive Thinking – Is It Just Too Simple?
One of the biggest arguments against the power of positive thinking is the staunch suggestion that: It’s Just Too Simple!
After all, isn’t it absurd to assume we can change things in the “real world” just by thinking happy thoughts? If you buy into the standard paradigm we’ve all been offered by the media, the “education system”, and social peer pressure, this makes good sense.
On the other hand, if we just open our minds up a tiny bit and really test the concepts of positive thinking, intentional manifestation, and law of attraction in our own lives, we find all the evidence needed to support further study. In fact, those of us who actively engage these methods may end up writing articles and books about the experience to help others follow our lead!
When Norman Vincent Peale wrote his best-selling Power Of Positive Thinking decades ago, he was severely challenged by public critics. His intelligence and maturity were called into question and people openly made fun of this crazy ideas expressed in his book.
However, within a few years many of the world’s best-known celebrities, politicians, and spiritual leaders were rallied behind the book. And these folks had come to their shift in paradigm by putting the suggestions of positive thinking and intentional manifestation to work in their own lives!
It’s worthwhile to recognize the fact that science isn’t even sure what the “real world” is! Solid matter has been determined to be vibrating energy, and the entire life experience my or may not even exist outside of receptors within the human brain!
Given these realities, it’s not outlandish (and in fact it’s quite logical) to assert that you and I can and do alter the nature of our world through focused intention. I urge any and all skeptics in the strongest possible way to study the virtues of positive thinking in application and practice a few sound methods for themselves over a period of just 9p days.
It is extremely likely that anyone who seriously engages such methods as visualization, confident daily affirmations, and even just trusting the greater good will soon become a believer in the higher mind and it’s ability to transform reality.
And for those who are simply unwilling to try it on before bashing the value of positive thinking, what are you so afraid of?
Set Your Goals For Now
It’s great to plan for the future, but it can also be counterproductive to focus on your major goals in the future tense. When you project something into the future, it will stay in the future. The idea is to center your goals in the present moment.
Instead of saying “I will have x by this specific date”, practice closing your eyes and visualizing what it would be like to already have attained your goal. Create a vivid feeling of having, doing, or being exactly what you want.
Engage not only a clear mental picture, but go a step further and engage you other senses. Hear the sounds and feel the physical sensations associated with your goal. Even bring your emotions into play and really feel what it will be like to take possession of your objective.
Revel in the moment as if you’re getting ready for a great victory celebration.
This type of active visualization can be used in place of traditional future-specific goal affirmations. And you can achieve amazing results with only a few minutes each day.
Practice taking time out during your day to really bring your goals into the present moment with you. Put as much realism and feeling into this as possible, and force yourself to smile during the process as this will create a happy vibration.
A great time to perform this type of affirmation is just before bed each night. This will allow your unconscious mind to work throughout the night on aligning itself to the accomplishment of your goals.
By combining this technique of present tense realization with traditional timeline specific goal setting you are likely to see huge improvements in your overall results. In other words you don’t need to throw your target achievement dates out the window, just practice thinking in terms of “I have” instead of “I will have”.

Power Of Thought – Visualize To Create Your Reality
Mastering the power of thought is the key to a successful life. This article will show you how regular visualization allows you to create the reality you desire.
It seems clear that our thinking literally creates our world, and if this is so why not think the way we’d like to live?
Scientists tell us everything we hear, see, and experience actually takes place in our brains, and that an “outside” world may not even exist. Deepak Chopra, Joseph Dispenza, and many others agree that life takes place primarily in the mind. From a hard scientific point of view, areas of our brain activate to allow for the different experiences of sight, touch, hearing, feeling, and so forth.
The same area in our brain orchestrates the vision process whether we are looking at another person face to face, or closing our eyes and thinking about them. Whether we are dreaming or awake, the exact same mechanisms within us facilitate our experiences.
I illustrate this to make a point: Whether you are a proud skeptic or a starry-eyed believer in all things new age, it seems irrefutable that the power of thought plays a very substantial role in the makeup and direction of your life.
Regardless of our personal philosophies, religious preference, or educational background, we cannot escape the fact that what we think and feel about has a profound impact on the events and circumstances of our life. In fact with a little practice, the power of thought reveals itself to us in truly extraordinary ways.
For example…
If the brain can’t necessarily distinguish between an image it sees through memory and one it accesses via direct physical line of site, consider the power of deliberate visualization. Along with affirmations, visualization exercises have been taught for years by self-development coaches.
You can hold any image you want in the eye of your mind for as long as you want. You have absolute control over this operation and can bring it to bear any time you like on any subject matter that pleases you.
Vividly see yourself in possession of all the wealth you could possibly want. Hold the image of yourself being fit, happy, and always full of inspiration. Whatever you want your life to be like, first create the image of it in your mind and focus on it with intensity.
Beyond just seeing the outcome you desire, feel the kind of happiness and joy that come from victory and achieving your personal goals. Let these good emotions flow freely, and also engage the sounds and other sensory input that might accompany your envisioned experience. While you visualize, pretend you are living in the moment of having your life exactly as it appears in the image you have created.
Above all you should enjoy this experience. Don’t let it become a chore and never allow it to resemble work; it should be something you sincerely like doing and you should get a legitimate rush from the activity.
Not only will this exercise will make you feel great, but it will also prompt your subconscious mind to find ways to connect your current circumstances with the outcome you visualize. In essence you will set into motion such things as inspired thinking, spontaneous action, and self-fulfilled prophecy.
Continue to visualize once or twice each day in sessions of anywhere from 30 seconds to ten minutes each. As with any skill, the more you practice the easier the process will become for you.
And over time you are almost guaranteed to see the events of your life unfolding in a way that mirrors the subject of your visualization sessions. Is this the law of attraction, or is it the subtle power of autosuggestion?
In truth, these terms refer to two sides of the same coin. Furthermore, there’s no need to bother yourself with the technical nuts and bolts of how and why; just rejoice in the creation of your new life.
Focused Intention Has a Way of Becoming Reality
It’s no coincidence that motivational speakers, spiritual leaders, and marketing gurus all talk about the amazing power of focused intention. This single element could in fact be the most important aspect of any success routine.
I’m not going to use any of the latest buzz terms to describe the concept of visualizing an outcome, focusing on this outcome with all your might, and then watching as your visualized intention becomes a reality. The truth is this technique is as old as human history, and it’s an absolute guaranteed way to produce the good results you want within your business.
I have found that whether I feel badly and doubt I can succeed, or whether I feel unstoppable and believe that money will roll into my bank account in waves… I’m always right!
For me it’s not a theory, it’s a rock-solid fact: Focused intention has a way of becoming a reality. I’d like to offer you a friendly challenge. Try the three focus drills in this article – I mean honestly put yourself into these exercises.
Before I continue let me stress that I’m putting you on the honor system here. Don’t go forward with every intention of sabotaging your results just so you can make a negative post about your lack of results. I want you to really open your mind and believe that you will succeed with these simple drills.
Ok let’s get started:
Focused Intent Exercise #1
I want you to write down the phrase “Business comes to me easily and frequently” and place this in a prominent spot within your workspace, like over your computer screen or next to your mouse pad. I also want you to start repeating this to yourself several times every day, and when you say it I want you to believe it’s 100% true.
Within just 30 days I am absolutely confident you will begin to get leads for your business, and paying customers, with a much higher frequency than you did before starting this exercise.
Focused Intent Exercise #2
I want you to start telling yourself every morning “Something great and unexpected is going to happen to me today”. And when you say this to yourself, I want you to believe it as if it is a proven scientific fact that you learned about in grade school.
You will begin to notice very soon that your life indeed is full of pleasant little surprises. Maybe you run into a friend at lunch and they buy your meal, or maybe you win $20 in the scratch-off lottery. Good things will begin to happen to you simply because you intend this to be true, and because you believe it.
Focused Intent Exercise #3
Write this down: “There is no cost to self-improvement tools and personal development education.” If that sounds a bit too wordy try to put the phrase into your own verbiage, but the point is I want you to understand and believe that as long as you have pure intention you can go out and buy a book or CD on self-improvement and the money you spend on that item will immediately find it’s way back to you.
I do this last one all the time and it’s a real hoot! Get into the frame of mind, really start to believe this is completely and totally true for you, and then start having some real fun with it!
I hope you’ll give these fun exercises a try in your life.
